【 解 说 】 英 文 有 rout 、 route 两 字 ， 都 可 以 作 动 词 和 名 词 。 rout 是 「 溃 败」 或 「 击 溃 」 ， route 是 「 路 线 」 或 「 经 由 某 路 线 」 ； 作 动 词 ， 过 去 式 都 是 routed ， 切 勿 混 淆 ， 例 如 ： （ 1 ） their army was routed / was put to rout （ 他 们 的 军 队 被 击 溃 了 ） 。 （ 2 ） police routed the cars around the accident （ 警 方 指 挥 汽 车 绕 过 车 祸 地 点 ） 。
turn on 或 turn upon 则 有 「 袭 击 」 的 意 思 ， 例 如 ： the dog was shot for turning on its master （ 那 只 狗 袭 击 主 人 ， 被 枪 毙 了 ） 。
