【 解 说 】 legend 是 「 传 说 」 ， 内 容 不 一 定 真 实 。 according to legend 的 另一 说 法 是 legend has it that ， 例 如 ： legend has it that they were betrayed by the queen's perfume 。 have it （ that ） 是 「 说 」 、 「 表 示 」 的意 思 ， 这 不 妨 再 举 两 个 例 子 ： （ 1 ） rumour has it that comrade tung has had a stroke （ 谣 言 说 董 同 志 中 风 了 ） 。 （ 2 ） he will have it that i cheated in the examination （ 他 硬 说 我 考 试 作弊）。
留意flee字的用法。flee的过去式和完成式都是fled，解作「逃避（某人、某物）」或「逃离（某地）」的时候，其后有时会用from字，但不用也可以，例如：（1）manyfled（from）chinain1949（一九四九年，很多人逃离中国）。（2）theyfled（from）thefire（他们逃离火场）。
