【附 注 】 林 肯 玩 了 个 文 字 游 戏 。 head 是 「 头 」 ， hind 是 「 后 面 的 」 ， 所 以 hind legs 指 兽 类 后 腿 ， hindquarters 指 兽 类 后 半 身 或 臀 部 ， 例 如 ： mr tsang admiringly patted mr hu's horse on its hindquarters （ 曾 先 生 一 副 钦 羡 神 气， 拍 拍 胡 先 生 那 匹 马 的 屁 股 ） 。 hindquarters 和 headquarters 一 样 ， 都 必 须 用 复数 形 式 ， 字 末 的 s 不 可 删 去 。 林 肯 那 句 话 ， 有 「 胡 克 以 屁 股 作 脑 袋 」 含 义 。
